New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) is an introductory training event focused on preparing new students for success in AFROTC. This year, NSO will be held on Friday, 23 August at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while the first day of training will begin Tuesday 27 August.

NSO gives cadets insight into what it is like to be in Air Force ROTC, as well as teach the basics of military life, and introduce them to the vast opportunities available as they work towards becoming an officer in the world’s greatest Air Force. NSO also helps cadets transition from being a high school student to a college student, and will provide tips and advice from upperclassmen on managing the demands of academics, ROTC, and the host of other extracurricular activities the schools offer. NSO is an incredible opportunity to meet other new cadets and get a head start into the first semester.

If you plan on joining the program beginning in the Fall 2024, make sure to Register ASAP!
