Cadet Colonel Bode was recently selected to attend Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) at Sheppard AFB, TX. The selection process for ENJJPT occurs after cadets are offered a pilot slot and selects cadets based on physical fitness, academic degree and grades, leadership and followership skills, AFOQT score, Pilot Candidate Selection Method (PCSM) score, and Field Training ranking.
ENJJPT is the world’s only multi-nationally manned and managed pilot training program with the purpose of producing fighter/combat pilots for NATO. Being at Detachment 465 propelled Bode to achieving this selection through multiple nominations to the You Can Fly scholarship program which boosted selection scores and gave Cadet Colonel Bode flying experience. In addition, the low cadet-to-cadre ratio helped to develop his leadership on a more personal level, also contributing to this selection.
After attending ENJJPT, Hunter hopes to become an operational fighter pilot and follow either an instructor/evaluator track or apply for USAF Test Pilot School.
